Education
- Todd Brusko Laboratory
- May 2022 - Dec 2023
- Studied how disease-susceptibility genetic variants and aberrant growth, survival,
and differentiation factors lead to a loss of T cell tolerance in the context of
autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes, to determine the phenotypic and functional impact
of gene variants and age-associated growth factors on regulatory and
effector T-cell and antigen presenting cell function.
- Brian Hoh Laboratory
- Jul 2017 - Apr 2022
- In the cerebrovascular research lab of Dr. Brian Hoh, MD, MBA, investigated the role of
immune cells and wound healing in brain aneurysms treated by coiling,
to improve treatment and outcomes for patients affected by aneurysmal hemorrhage. Daily work
includes lab bench science, review of clinical and scientific literature, and supporting
national organizations in spreading awareness of cerebral aneurysms
which may affect up to 1 in 50 individuals in the US.
